Monthly Precipitation Collected at Hirosaki, Japan: Its Tritium Concentration and Chemical and Stable Isotope Compositions

Monthly precipitation samples were collected at Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture from January 2018 to December 2020 measure the ion species and stable hydrogen oxygen isotope ratios in order understand regional properties. The tritium concentration ranged 0.28 1.20 Bq/L, with mean values (±S.D.) of 0.52 ± 0.18, 0.67 0.25 0.63 0.21 Bq/L 2018, 2019 2020, respectively. This level was almost same as for Rokkasho, Prefecture. had clear seasonal variation: high spring low summer. trend thought arise fluctuations atmospheric circulation. On other hand, pH tended be low, electrical conductivity (EC) winter spring. components, which major contained sea salt, also winter, these components a strong influence on EC. d-excess summer, when this considered viewpoint wind direction data dust attributed northwest monsoon coming Asian continent.
